What does "Cooking with Minimal Water" mean?

It means cooking vegetables and other water-rich foods without adding extra water. AbyAMC cookware creates a closed system that uses the natural moisture in the ingredients to cook them gently and efficiently.
Important: The vegetables must always be added to the pot while still dripping wet!

Why is cooking with minimal water healthier?

Water-soluble vitamins (like vitamin C and B-complex) are better preserved because they are not leached into added water and discarded. This method keeps more nutrients, color, and natural flavor in your food.

How does AbyAMC ensure the food doesn’t burn without water?

AbyAMC pots heat evenly and retain moisture. By cooking at low temperatures once the food reaches the vegetable window on the Visiotherm, the natural steam inside the pot is enough to cook the food gently without sticking or burning.

How do I know when to reduce the heat?

When the Visiotherm pointer reaches the vegetable window, reduce the heat to low or switch the Navigenio to "A" (automatic). If using the Audiotherm, it signals you at the right time.

Can I mix vegetables when Cooking with Minimal Water?

Yes, you can mix vegetables, but you should choose vegetables with similar water content and cooking time. For example, broccoli and carrots can be cooked together. Avoid mixing with very dry vegetables unless some added moisture is included.

Do I need to stir during cooking?

No, stirring is unnecessary. The even heat distribution and moisture-rich environment inside the pot cook the food evenly without movement.

My vegetables got burned – what mistake did I make?

Vegetables might burn if the heat was too high (always use the Audiotherm to control the heat properly), the lid was not properly closed, or you opened the lid to often. Opening lets steam escape and interrupts the natural moisture cycle that is essential for waterless cooking.

Is seasoning or salt needed for flavor?

AbyAMC cooking enhances the natural flavor of the ingredients, so you often need less salt and seasoning than usual. You can add herbs or spices before or after cooking, as desired.
